I love reading these posts but I never write them at the fear of sounding like a spoilt brat. But after a poll on Twitter 85% of you said I should do one so here it is. The Twitter voters have spoken.
Most of my presents came in the form of money which went on clothes (pictures coming soon) or it’s still in my bank. But I did get a few things to unwrap on the day.
There is no doubt that I am going to be the best smelling person around in January with the amount of smellies I got. From The Body Shop to Dove I got it all – I even treated myself to the Soap and Glory star gift from Boots.
Out of all the smellies it has to be The Body Shop and L’Occitane stuff that I’m excited about the most because I’ve never actually tried any products from them.
The best present of course has to be the socks and underwear my Mum gets me every. year – and which I’m not going to photograph. But let’s be real, it’s no Christmas without some sort of underwear/socks/pyjamas.
I was also lucky enough to get some pyjamas from Paul – who really out did himself and got me this super comfy jumpsuit style onesie from New Look (similar here) – which I may or may not have spent the majority of my Christmas evening in…
Every year I give Paul a list so he’s not left to do the Christmas shopping on his own, but I always forget what it is I’ve put on the list so I was super surprised when I saw that he got me the handbag survival kit from Oliver Bonas.
It’s basically this lovely little bag you put in your handbag and it comes filled with everything us girls need from a mini toothbrush to make-up removers, tampons, tweezers etc. I think this is such a cool idea and perfect if you’re always out and about.
Paul and I didn’t get many presents for each other this year as we both got one and another an expensive main gift. Mine turned out to be this beautiful watch from Cluse.
Now I will admit that this was on my list but I gave him two options that I liked and asked him to pick and I was very happy to get the black version. But Paul has also said he will be getting me a new strap to go with it as well. I feel so spoilt!
I may have also spoilt myself some more by shopping the sales. My new love for ASOS has turned out to be a very good thing as I picked up a lot of bits and bobs in their sale including these Oxblood Chelsea boots and a new handbag – that fits my laptop in it praise the lord!
I also picked up a Tassimo coffee machine which I am already in love with! I’ve been wanting a new coffee machine for a long time now and I finally took the plunge and ordered one.
This Christmas was a very strange one for me as Paul and I didn’t open our presents until the evening (due to a certain someone being asleep till we had to leave to go see family), but I actually really enjoyed it.
I did also get a lot of my presents before Christmas, including my new favourite jacket from Pull & Bear from my parents. You know the one – that aviator jacket EVERYONE has been buying.
Overall I think it’s safe to say I had a successful present haul.
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and have a happy New Year! Leave me links to your Christmas haul in the comments so I can check it out.
