5 things I can’t believe I’ve only just discovered

Soap and Glory Beauty Makeup Kiko Primark Christmas Pyjamas Tea Shopping ASOS JustEmmi.com

Before you read this you have to promise not to judge me ok. Yes I may have been living under a duvet rock for god knows how long, but I’ve finally seen the light so all is good.

Since moving to Manchester, getting a full time job and having some more disposable income under my belt I’ve been able to discover a few things – that everyone else but me seems to already know about.

Ok please don’t kill me. I did KNOW about ASOS for a very long time but I never really bothered to shop there.

I have since seen the error of my ways and have in fact ordered quite a few things from them. I’ve even purchased their next day delivery for a year so I think I’ve redeemed myself.

I’ve never been one for online clothes shopping as my size is very inconsistent – meaning I have to send a lot fo the stuff back. But ASOS has become my new favourite store even if I’m still figuring out my sizing…

Being the darling little sister that I am, I’ve asked my Brother for an ASOS voucher for Christmas so expect so new items appearing on Instagram very soon.

I can feel you all glaring at me through your screens. Again, I knew about Primark but never had I bothered with their pyjamas – especially their Christmas matching leggings and tops.

These are my new favourite thing and I want them all – but sadly they seemed to have sold out so I’m stuck with one pair.

They are so cosy and keep you warm, whilst not really feeling like pyjamas. It’s basically leggings and a t-shirt, and I may have worn them all day on my day off…

I’ve told myself that next time they bring something similar out I will be buying every style, and not just one.

Despite practically everyone getting some form of Soap and Glory gift set for Christmas I’ve never received one. This year I decided to change that and I actually bought myself one – the Boots star gift to be precise.

I have to say I am very impressed so far – more updates to come!

This one I can’t take credit for. I have to thank Nikki over at NikkiMcCaig.com. It was her post about the new Kiko 131 lipstick that completely persuaded me to buy it – and a matching lip liner.

It is my favourite berry red at the moment and even if it does smudge slightly when I’m stuffing my face with brunch and downing cups of tea.

Speaking of brunch. I’m a big fan of independent cafes but sometimes you just need a Starbucks in your life.

I headed out last Sunday to do some work and stumbled across the fact that Starbucks is open until 10pm! Or at least the one I went to was.

It may sound boring but this has been a game changer for me. I now have somewhere to go if I need to stay in town late – and the wifi, coffee and food are on point, making things a lot easier.

Some of these may seem obvious, and you’re probably all saying “duh Emmi how did you not know all this” but on the plus side, at least now I do!

I’m a changed woman.
