7 things I’m loving right now

Favourite things - JustEmmi.com

The past few weeks have been absolutely hectic for me. I’ve been planning some really exciting things that I can’t share with you just yet – but it must be good if it’s kept me this busy right?

When I’m this busy thought I find it hard to relax and appreciate things. So I wanted to the some time to write a post about a few of the things I’m loving right now.

Being a journalism graduate who had to make 3 magazines in her final year, I think it’s safe to say I have a love for print. I’ve always supported and loved the idea of independent magazines – as well as buying the ones we all use in flatlays.

As any blogger I love the Blogosphere Magazine – and can’t wait to get my hands on the latest copy. But I’ve recently picked up a few others. Caffeine is one that I’ve seen doing the rounds on Insta and actually spotted in a local cafe so of course I had to pick it up – and it was the tea edition! Perfect for me.

I’ve also picked up a local magazine called Manchester’s Finest which is just what I need being new to the city and all.

Spoiler. In case you have been living under a rock the Christmas range is on their website and OH MY FATHER CHRISTMAS it is beautiful! I’ll obviously be doing a whole blog post dedicate to this when I buy one of everything after payday. But seriously go check it out. All your favourite are back and they have some interesting new editions too.

If you follow me on Instagram you’ll have noticed that whenever I get a day off I tend to go into Manchester and do a spot of cafe hopping. It’s become my thing and it’s great! I love Starbucks as much as the next person but discovering new, independent local cafes is so much better. My favourites so far have to be Ezra and Gil and Chapter One Books in Manchester’s Northern Quarter.

Autumn is officially here in my books which means jumpers and lots of them. Of course as soon as I got paid I went shopping and bought a load of new ones. But my favourites have to be these from New Look. They come in a range of colours and are under £10!

You probably know that Paul and I recently moved in together and with moving in comes decorating. So far we have nearly finished the living room and we’re now starting on the bedroom.

I ordered this beautiful moon print which we’ve turned landscape and put above our bed. I love Desenio for prints – we have two more in the living room. They are affordable and amazing quality. I’m already planning which ones I’m going to buy for the home office once it’s done.

Surprise this tea lover is loving tea right now. Specifically earl grey tea. I’ve just had this weird graving for it recently so I may have bought myself a big box just for work…

If you’re not a fan of strong tea but want to try something different then give earl grey a go. It has a bad rep for being strong but really it’s quite sweet.

I’ve written a post before about the Christmas Markets, but little did I know that Manchester have markets pretty much every week. They just keep changing location! The other week it was right next to where I work so of course I treated myself to some paella and churros – which got shared round the office.

I love the idea of supporting local traders but also being able to try something new for lunch every now and then.

Life has been so hectic recently but we should always stop to think about the little things that make us happy. What have you been loving recently?

I recommend going for a classic like the comforter bubble bar. Don’t dive into the ones with all the bells and whistles on if it’s your first product. Go for something simple but well loved.

I love independent prints too! At one point I wanted to make one, but not enough people were interested in buying one. I wish blogosphere magazine was more available in the united states. It’s so expensive to get them shipped over here. Hopefully they’ll expand enough in order to make it more accessible for us over here. Great post Emmi xxx
