Hazaar!! I have officially made it as a graduate and now have my first ever full-time job. In a few weeks I will be moving into my new flat in Manchester with my boyfriend and starting my first ever journalism job.
I’m fortunate to be one of the lucky ones leaving university and going into a job in my industry. There are so many stories of graduates who spend 3 or more years studying in a specific field only to end up working in something completely different (not that there’s anything wrong with that) or sadly not being able to find work.
I went through this panic but after applying to around 50+ job adverts one pulled through foe. I feel so very proud and grateful to have been given this opportunity. I can now change my Twitter bio from freelance journalist to journalist which is strangely satisfying.
My new job in based in Manchester which is great because I know the area, and this is where we are going to be moving to. We’ve filled out all the forms and with any luck we will be moving in a week or so. I have never felt so grown up. It’s such a lovely flat and don’t worry you’ll be getting a tour eventually.
This job and move means that I will no longer be a country lass but a city girl and although I’ve been living up north for university for the past three years it’s going to feel like a big change for me. I know I’ll be going back down to Cornwall to see family and collect the rest of my stuff but making the permanent move to the city of Manchester is scary.
There are still a few things to sort out but there will be updates all over my Twitter and Instagram if you want a sneak peak into our new home.
It’s going to be a new adventures for me and for this blog because as my life changes so will the content you see on here. I don’t know what that’s going to entail just yet but I’m excited.
