15 Netflix series you need to be watching

Netflix Favourites JustEmmi.com

As much as I’d love to say I have a wild social life and rarely have time to sit down and binge watch a series, that would be one big fat lie.  I spend most weekends with my boyfriend browsing Netflix because it is so addictive. Over the past three years we have watched countless of shows and movies using the site and I have come up with a list of my favourites so far – because I might do another one of these lists next year after we’ve watched another bucket full.

Dexter: Hands down my favourite TV series ever! Although the final episode annoyed the shit out of me, I love everything else about this show. I never thought I would enjoy something that focuses on murders.

House: Hugh Laurie is a genius and a brilliant actor who without a doubt is what makes is series great. its e perfect hospital drama with the right amount of comedy and seriousness.

Pretty Little Liars: where have you been if you havent watched this series. No seriously, get off this blog post and go watch it now before the final season comes out! I’m not speaking to any of you until you go watch it.

Ru Paul’s Drag Race: Ok I admit a show all about men battling it out to be America’s best drag queen isn’t for everybody. But honey trust me when I say once you watch a few episodes you’ll be up till 4am cheering on your favourite.

Making A Murderer: You will suddenly feel like you are smarter than the justice system when watching this series and your Twitter bio should change to detective/lawyer during this show. I am so excited to see what Netflix have in store for the next season.

House of Cards: probably one of the best things to come out of politics. This series has so many twists and turns it is hard to keep up, b you just still have to keep watching. It’s also quite scary to think that the dramas that unfold in this series probably happen in real life politics.

Designated Survivor: another political drama but so different to House of Cards. It adds the realistic aspect of a terror attack kn the white house but it is still funny, creative and keeps you in suspense. The second part to season one is currently out with new episodes every week.

Better Call Saul: Ok so you kinds have to watch Breaking Bad first but I wanted to include this and not Breaking Bad because I actually prefer this series. I really started to hate Walter White towards the end of the season, bu I love Saul’s character. I also think it’s really interesting to see how he became the person he is in Breaking Bad

Jessica Jones, Daredevil, Luke Cage and Iron Fist: there is no way I could just pick one of the marvel Netflix shows because they are all great in very different ways. I am only half way through iron fist but loving ist right now. I cant wait to see all these characters come together in the nearer future.

The Crown: I wouldn’t call myself a monarchist but this series made me love The Queen.Claire Foy and Matt Smith put on an amazing performance and I really hope there is going to be a second season.

Stranger Things: I was really sceptical of this series at first because I don’t do scary shit. Like I just don’t do it. But I absolutely loved every episode. It is seriously creepy but in a fun way.

Narcos: Ok so if you don’t like reading subtitles then this probably isn’t the series for you. I have to admit I needed a break after a while. But it is worth sitting through the subtitles for this series. I didn’t know much about Pablo Escobar before, and now I’m an expert.

I was thinking about doing a similar post to this, just because I’m the same! Literally living on Netflix right now!! Like you I wasn’t crazy about the monarchy before, but after watching The Crown…literally loved that series! I’m about two episodes off of finishing Luke Cage now, and also can’t wait for Making a Murderer season 2, was bloody glued to the first season!! Great post 🙂 xx
