After months and months of wanting to try some of the products by Teapigs I finally allowed myself to spend a bit of money on a treat.
I love tea and Teapigs are the Willy Wonka of tea providers. They have everything you could think of from the very typical Earl Grey tea to their latest, jelly and ice cream! I know right!
I didn’t want to dive in and buy a massive pack of tea I might not like so instead I chose to make up a tea pick n mix bundle for £13.99. This gives you 12 packets of tea each containing 2 tea temples.
As an avid tea lover I was like a kid in a candy shop when deciding which 12 teas to try in my bundle and opted for the following:
- Two Everyday Brews
- Darjeeling Earl Grey
- Chocolate Flake Tea
- Mao Feng Green Tea
- Green Tea with mint
- Popcorn Tea
- Silver Tips White Tea
- Peppermint Tea
- Lemon and Ginger Tea
- Earl Grey Strong
- Chocolate and mint Tea
They were also kind enough to throw in an extra temple of the chocolate and mint tea for free.
Now I’m not very adventurous with my food but I do like green tea with lemon and ginger flavourings so I was feeling optimistic.
There were a few teas that I didn’t like straight away and those were the Popcorn Tea which was too nutty for me (I really don’t like nuts) and the Chocolate flavoured teas. It didn’t taste as chocolatey as I had hoped – but maybe I was expecting it to be like a hot chocolate.
I did however fall in love with the Everyday brew, Earl Grey Strong and Darjeeling Earl Grey which was no surprise. I was however surprised that I loved the Silver Tips White Tea as it is something I had never heard of let alone tried before.
I enjoyed the Mao Feng Green Tea which was no surprise as a green tea drinker, but the Mint flavoured teas were just a no go for me. I love mint flavoured everything but just not tea for some reason. It kinda makes my mouth tingle whenever I drink mint flavoured tea no matter who makes it – Teapigs, Pukka, Twinings.
I am so happy that I ordered this little box of goodies though as it has helped me find some new favourites which I will be ordering again very soon.
Have you tried anything from Teapigs? What is your favourite and what flavour do you think they should come up with next?
